Temporary Works Specialist (Trainer) Role Vacancy
Role Overview:
Are you ready for a career change? CST Training LTD is seeking individuals with practical experience in temporary works who are interested in transitioning into a training role. While prior tutoring experience is not mandatory, we will provide comprehensive support and training to help you excel in this position.
Depending on your qualifications, memberships, and experience, the salary package is negotiable.
As a Training Specialist, you will primarily deliver our Site Safety Plus Courses, specifically focusing on Temporary Works Coordinator and Supervisor courses. This role involves a blend of in-person and online virtual course delivery.
Responsibilities
- Embody CST Training values and behaviors while adhering to company policies and standards.
- Deliver Site Safety Plus Courses with a focus on Temporary Works Coordinator and Supervisor training.
- Conduct both in-person and online virtual course sessions.
- Utilise various IT systems effectively for course delivery.
Essential Skills:
Membership or willingness to obtain membership in one of the following:
- The Institution of Civil Engineers (AMICE/MICE/FICE)
- The Institution of Structural Engineers (MIStructE/FIStructE)
- The Institution of Royal Engineers (InstRE)
As well as:
- Registration with the Engineering Council at IEng or CEng level (or meet the relevant criteria)
And:
- Relevant practical and design experience in temporary works (e.g., falsework, formwork, access, and protection).
Advantageous qualifications include:
- NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Safety and Health
- Level 3,4,5 OR 6 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice (or SVQ equivalent)
- Health and Safety degree
- NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health Part 2
- NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health Units A, B, C, and D
- IOSH Level 6 Diploma in Safety Management (or equivalent)
- Strong facilitation management skill
Other Criteria
- Excellent communication, IT, and written skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Exceptional self-management abilities
- Up-to-date CPD (minimum 12 months)
- Solid experience and competency across multiple disciplines
- CITB Site Safety Plus (Approved Tutor Certificate)
- Adult Teaching Qualification (AET) or equivalent
